I have totally forgotten my jealousy of others, since I found the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. No one is my enemy, and no one is a stranger. I get along with everyone. Whatever God does, I accept that as good. This is the sublime wisdom I have obtained from the Holy.
ਬਿਸਰਿ ਗਈ ਸਭ ਤਾਤਿ ਪਰਾਈ ॥ ਜਬ ਤੇ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਨਾ ਕੋ ਬੈਰੀ ਨਹੀ ਬਿਗਾਨਾ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਮ ਕਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥੧॥ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਨੋ ਸੋ ਭਲ ਮਾਨਿਓ ਏਹ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਤੇ ਪਾਈ ॥੨॥
Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
As a solid rock is not shaken by the wind, wise people falter not amidst blame and praise.
The Master said, "The superior man is satisfied and composed; the mean man is always full of distress."
To a monk who has left his sons and wives, and who has ceased to act, nothing pleasant can occur, nor anything unpleasant.
And the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!";
Alike the drunk and the strict of fare / For his mistress yearns—in the mosque Love doth dwell / And the church, for his lodging is everywhere. …
He through whom the world is not agitated, and who is not agitated by the world, who is free from joy and anger and fear and agitation, he too is dear to me.
There is the great Mass (of nature);--I find the support of my body on it; my life is spent in toil on it; my old age seeks ease on it; at death I find rest in it;--what makes my life a good makes my death also a good. …
